About

Zarin I. Rahman (she/her) is an Internal Medicine resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.

Zarin completed her MD at University of Minnesota Medical School, where she cemented her passion for medical education and its intersection with health equity. She was the Class President of her graduating class and founded the MedEd Reform Student Coalition, a collaborative group between students, faculty, and medical school leadership working on anti-racist change at UMN Medical School. She also continued her enthusiasm for research through her research assistant role at the UMN Program for Health Disparities Research, working with Dr. Elizabeth Rogers on chronic disease self-management, primary care delivery, and health disparities. Prior to medical school, Zarin received her BA in Neuroscience and Psychology from Harvard University in 2018.

Zarin hopes to become a clinician-educator, dividing her time between caring for patients and teaching medical students and residents. Her current clinical interests include pulmonology/critical care medicine and infectious disease. She also hopes to continue her research on medical education and health equity, as well as the intersection of social epidemiology and healthcare delivery/outcomes.

Outside of medicine and school, Zarin is a budding photographer, dabbler in interior design, and coffeeshop connoisseur. When not in the hospital, you can usually find her with a croissant in hand, roaming the aisles of Trader Joe's.
